At the beginning of 2024, I set my New Year’s resolutions with big hopes and goals in mind. Now that the year is wrapping up, it’s time to look back and see how many of them I actually accomplished!!

🌟Monetize my YouTube Channel - Achieved!
Let's start from the top! I even hit 100k subscribers in July, which feels unreal. YouTube has become my favorite platform, and I enjoy it more than any other now!
Learning Live2D - Not really...
I didn’t have the time to dive into it this year... But I did buy two books about it this week, so that counts as progress... right? Either way, mastering Live2D is definitely on my list for next year!
⭐Create one animatic/animation video each month - Kinda?
This goal... it's almost like I forgot that I even had this goal to begin with. Instead, I’ve been posting more short-form content. I posted more than one reels/shorts every month!
But I really enjoyed making animation videos!! I should have made more this year.
I plan to keep this goal for 2025 because I have some exciting ideas! I also started a podcast, but I need to rethink how to create content for it while keeping my focus on comics and animations.
⭐Read three books each month - Kinda?
I occasionally visited the local library and rented books more, but I didn't manage to archive them each month. Perhaps I should set a more achievable goal, like one book per month.
Do exercise 30 mins every day - Uh, nope...
But I did start doing squats daily, so it’s a small step in the right direction!!! I'm gonna add more to this small habit later on.
🌟 Shop updates in spring and fall - I did it!
I invested in a Silhouette Portrait and started selling new stickers and other items! I enjoy making stickers and postcards. I'm planning to add more items in next year☺️✨️
🌟 Start posting new comic series! - I did it!
I started to post my fan comic series, PPGZA and Bad x Apple!
I'm super happy to see that people liked my comics! Next year, I’ll focus even more on making comics, so stay tuned!
🌟Make more content for my Membership - Archived!
I've added a new tier this year - The monthly postcard club!
Initially, I faced several issues with shipping and USPS, but I eventually found a solution. I hope you all received the postcards each month!💌
⭐ Posting on multiple SNS platforms (TikTok, Twitter, Tumblr, etc.)
Partially done? I tried, but I realized that managing multiple platforms just isn’t my thing, and it drains my energy.
In 2025, I’ll focus on YouTube, Instagram, and my website to build a more connected community!
🎉Unexpected Big and Small Wins in 2024🎉
Even though I didn’t plan these, they were some of my favorite accomplishments:
🌟 Launched my first art course!!
I created a beginner’s course on animatic reels and loved sharing my process and helping students. A new course is coming next year—stay tuned!
🌟Started Doing live streams on YouTube and Actually Talking to my fans
This is something I never thought I’d do, but somehow it worked out! I started doing livestreams on YouTube and speaking in English, which was a huge step for me. It was a bit intimidating at first, but I really enjoyed the experience. I’m excited to keep it going and be more consistent with livestreams in the coming year!
🌟 Started taking better care of myself!
This year, I finally began focusing on self-care. Washing my face with cold water, wearing sunscreen, and changing out of pajamas, even when working from home, is really important. Even if I don’t have plans to meet anyone, putting on makeup or wearing perfume makes me feel really good!
🌟 Joined a theater club!
I’ve always wanted to act, and this year, I made it happen. After attending a local workshop with a friend, I joined a theater group, and now we’re rehearsing a play for next year!
🌟 Revamped my website!
In November and December, I focused on making my website more interactive and user-friendly. I created a comic index, dedicated comic pages, and more. I’ll keep adding new content next year!
🌟 Started Attending Parties and Meeting New People!
This year, I stepped out of my comfort zone and started attending karaoke parties with other students at my singing school, as well as other events. At first, I was nervous, but most people turned out to be super nice and really fun to hang out with. I’m glad I took the leap, and I hope to meet even more amazing people next year!
Things I Regret Not Doing in 2024
Not being able to learn Live2D.
Not adding more courses.
Not finishing and posting all of Chapter 3 of Bad Boy x Good Apple.
Not drawing much of SuiShino.
Neglecting marketing for my shop.
Spreading myself too thin across multiple social media platforms and losing clarity on my goals.
I want to reflect on these regrets and turn them into new resolutions for 2025!
Looking back, I think I did a pretty good job tackling my goals and even achieved a few unexpected milestones.
It's important to write down the goals and keep tracking them. I'm satisfied with all the things I achieved and proud of myself. Stay tuned for my upcoming blog post about my 2025 resolutions!
