Hi guys! It's me, AiTommy✨️

Writing down goals and checking in on them regularly is super important.
I usually keep my lists private on Milanote, but I’ve realized that sharing them online keeps me more accountable. It makes me more aware of what I need to work on to actually make things happen. So in this post, I’m sharing what I accomplished in January—hope you enjoy!
The First Month of 2025 – What Did I Do?
A lot happened in January! Honestly, it felt like I lived through two or three months already, but nope—it’s only been one. Wow.
In January, I shared:
4 shorts
1 animatic (16:9 format)
1 podcast
1 live stream
That’s a pretty solid number! Of course, I could have shared more videos to reach a wider audience, but when it comes to shorts and animatics, I don’t want to sacrifice quality for quantity. I firmly believe quality is more important.
Also, it seems like people are starting to love my OCs more than last year, which is amazing! I want my original characters to be recognized alongside my PPG and PPGZ content.
That being said, I should have done more livestreams. My goal is to go live once a week, so I’ll work on that next month.
Comic Progress

I finally shared Chapter 3 of Bad Boy x Good Apple! I had been procrastinating on it for a while, so I’m so glad it’s done. Right now, I’m working on Chapter 4, but I think I’ll focus more on my PPGZA comic series this year. That means I’ll take my time with Chapter 4 of this series.
Even though I haven’t shared much about it, I’ve been working on my comics in the background—line art, coloring, planning, etc. Creating full-color comics takes so much time, and I don’t want to spoil anything before release.
It might look like I haven’t accomplished much, but I actually finished line art and coloring for multiple pages in January.
In fact, I have already completed rough sketches for Chapters 4 and 5 of PPGZA, which is HUGE because now I can work on them more efficiently.
One of my goals this year is to release Chapters 4 and 5, and I’m feeling confident that I can achieve it.

Art Course Relaunch
I also relaunched my art course, “Animatic Reels for Beginners,” to the public!

I remade ad videos, added more lessons, and planned improvements to make it even more helpful for fellow artists and students.
One thing I realized: I’m not great at advertising my own work. Whether it’s my course or my shop, I struggle with marketing. That’s something I need to learn and improve on.
Live2D Progress
I made a short animation of a butterfly in Live2D, which is great! But… I haven’t touched the software since. I really need to find the time to learn this tool properly. I know it’ll be super helpful, and I know I’ll enjoy it once I get the hang of it, but I just haven’t had the energy to dive in. I’ll fix this in February.
The Reality of Running a Creative Business

I do almost everything myself (except for managing ads for my art course—I have a team for that). Running my own creative business is hard, and sometimes I feel lost.
One thing I’ve realized is that while sharing my work online is fun and rewarding, the most important work happens behind the scenes—the preparation, the rough sketches, lineart, coloring, and the planning.
These steps don’t get public recognition but ultimately lead to success and achieving my goals. And I should take care of those tiny steps to make my work more polished.
That’s my recap for January! I’ll be sharing a new post soon about my goals for February—stay tuned!
